GoS Nordic Seasons - New Calibre Powers Winter Nights Collection
In the market for something unique? Something strikingly beautiful? GoS watches capture the essentia of Swedish landscapes and culture with their stunning timepieces.
Now there is a chance to own an exclusive watch from their Nordic Seasons collection, this time a worldwide release of just 10 pieces. All GoS watches are unusual, each piece is different, but the new Winter Nights series brings something new to the collection, the first GoS calibre, and to create it they collaborated with one of the best Master Watchmakers in the business.
We love the GoS Nordic Seasons collection - the use of Damascus steel, known as tempered pattern-welded steel in its construction is both stark and dramatic and it provides a stunning contrast for the vivid, explosive dial patterns achieved through handforging.
Master Bladesmith Johan Gustafsson and Master Watchmaker Patrik Sjögren are the talents behind GoS Watches, and both individuals and both of their talents combine with such empathy that the marriage of their skills is completely compatible, engendering a portfolio of timepieces which are as beautiful as they are adventurous, true products of Sweden, each an artform in miniature.
The latest edition of the Nordic Seasons collection is named Winter Nights, and it will be the first to be powered by the GoS manual calibre 1. Produced with Martin Braun, it features a silicon escape wheel and anchor, cutting-edge technology which Martin is using in his own movements at Antoine Martin. GoS add their own signature craftsmanship in the form of a 4/5 bridge made from solid handforged Damascus steel to stunning effect.
The new ten piece edition, which will be produced in partnership with PuristSPro, will be sold at the same price as the previous models which were powered by modified Unitas calibres. Due to the handcrafted nature of these timepieces, further customisation is also a possibility.
Find out why I was smitten by this collection, right from the start - here.
