Roger Dubuis Excalibur 42 Automatic Limited Edition Stone Dial

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur 42 Automatic is now available with precious stone dials - precious indeed, and beautiful to behold - but as with all timepieces which bear the Dubuis name, the intrinsics are as admirable as the extrinsics, each is powered by a high level, high standard movement, each of which bears the Geneva Seal.

Roger Dubuis is a relatively youthful watch brand, founded in 1995 by Roger Dubuis and Carlos Dias.  By 1999 it was a fully fledged Manufactory - fully self sufficient by 2003, producing it's own balance and spring mechanisms.  It's innovation was matched by its prolific production of in-house calibres - 28 new movements were un-veiled by 2007.  Now under the control of the Richemont Group the development continues.

Within the Excalibur collection a potential buyer can choose from chunky and daring designs and from the highly technical - skeletonised double tourbillons, and an automatic minute repeater.  The Excalibur 42 is a tamer, more refined part of the portfolio, but the synonymous features remain - the knife-blade notched bezel, the elongated Roman numerals and the distinguished lugs.

Three new dial editions are available, mother-of-pearl with a pink gold case and two white gold case editions - vibrant Lapis Lazuli or a superb Onyx version.  Each is powered by the RD622 calibre, its 52 hours of power reserve gained by the signature Roger Dubuis micro-rotor.  Each showcases simplicity - two faceted hands and merely the suggested form of the extended, tapering numerals.

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur 42 Automatic Stone Dial watches will be a limited edition of 188 pieces of each variation.
