The Antoine Preziuso GTS Grand Tourbillon Sport - Fly. Buy.

New from Antoine Preziuso is the GTS Grand Tourbillon Sport, a watch with a unique selling point - it is only available for purchase in Geneva and included in the price are return business class flights and two nights accomodation in a luxury Swiss hotel.  An unusual scenario, but if you delve a little deeper into the this watchmaker's career to date and you are a connoisseur of fine timepieces, then you would be unable to resist the urge to collect your latest timepiece, and perhaps meet the man behind its creation.

Antoine Preziuso is a watchmaker extraordinaire, a stubbornly independent AHCI member, an innovator - a  man who enjoys experimenting with shapes, construction materials and dial displays.  In an industry where "in-house" is de reguer, Antoine Preziuso is unafraid to resist creating his own calibres, he meticulously re-works, re-assembles, decorates and regulates ETA movements in order that the timepieces he creates can be maintained and repaired more easily in the years and hundreds of years to come.

This is the man who brought to being the 3Volution, pictured below -  a trio of 60-Second flying tourbillons attached to a plate which completes its own revolution in 2 minutes 15 seconds - a Haute Horlogerie fun-fair tea cup ride on a dial.

This is the watchmaker responsible for the B-side, a tourbillon designed to be worn back to front, featuring an inner case which pivots in order to read the time.  This is the man who created the Monumental Mega Tourbillon, built to pocketwatch standards and proportions, and measuring 65mm across.  This is the man who mastered metorite, a complex picky, material to work with considering its hard/soft tendencies - and he didn't just use it on dials, but also for the case, crown and hands and as an added momento retained a small piece of  the un-worked raw material for each customer who sought out and bought one of these unique timepieces.  The watches created by Antoine Preziuso are small series pieces, many are one-off bespoke models.  A purchase from this watchmaker often begins with a one-to-one meeting and a sketchpad.

The GTS Grand Tourbillon Sport features a tactile rounded tonneau case measuring 52 x 45mm, constructed from ChromeCobalt, a tough, techy alloy.  The shapes and styling are reminiscent of racing cars, a passion of its creator - note the "speedo" open-worked hands, a blast of red against the look-see dial, and of course, the showcase tourbillon at 6 o'clock.

Inside is the APG/28T hand-wound Calibre with 110 hours of power reserve, water resistant to 30m.

The Antoine Preziuso GTS Grand Tourbillon Sport comes presented on a black crocodile leather strap with red stitching.
