The Corum Admiral's Cup Legend 42 Annual Calendar
New for 2012 is the Corum Admiral's Cup Legend 42 Annual Calendar.
If you know Corum, then you will be familiar with the Admiral's Cup collection - one of the original pieces in the portfolio of unconventional timepieces created by Gaston Reis and René Bannwart. It has evolved from its elegant Carré case-shape of the 1960's, transformations which have taken it through many sculpted and colourful variations. The Legend is a more recent, elegant addition which features the most refined version of the 12-sided case to date.
This one features an Annual Calendar, but in harmony with the understated styling of the piece, it is a subtle inclusion - at the edge of the dial is the date ring, indicated by an openworked hand and at 6 o'clock is a subdial for the months. Only the odd dates of the month and only every other month are marked, keeping everything neat and clutter-free.
Two 42mm case editions will be available, 18K red gold, limited to 25 pieces and stainless steel, limited to 150 pieces. Inside is the automatic Corum CO503 movement with 42 hours of power reserve.
