The Tissot T-Race MotoGP Limited Edition 2012

  F1 fans - do you find the humdrum of a non-race weekend unbearable? Do you feel the need for a spine-tingling spectacle? Perhaps a little "something" to have you perched on your native Sunday afternoon edge-of-the-sofa habitat?  MotoGP will provide the correct medicinal dose of excitement to set the pulse pumping and have your blood racing once more. The 2012 season begins tomorrow with the Grand Prix of Qatar, a night race which means that the machines will look brighter, faster and even more thrilling than normal.

Tissot are about to begin their 13th year as the MotoGP official timekeeper, a year which brings to the sport all-new 1000cc engines, rule changes and some new independant teams.  Accurately timing prestigious sporting events is a bit of a speciality for Tissot.  You may also have noticed their branding in other events, including cycling, ice hockey and basketball.  The brand are often the victim of some watch snobbery - unfairly so, to add to their timekeeping technological know-how they have a more than adequate portfolio, with 9 new models unveiled at BaselWorld this year including a new and very retro Heritage model and two very elegant pieces - the Le Locle featuring an award-winning automatic chronometer and the Classic Gent.

The T-Race MotoGP 2012 combines high-tech materials with bike-inspired styling.  The dial is dashboard-inspired, the bezel resembles a brake disc and of course there's a requisite amount of carbon fibre composites used in its make-up.  Inside is the C01.211 chronograph movement viewable through a bike wheel-esque caseback and it features a vivid T-line black and yellow strap.

The Tissot T-Race MotoGP 2012 will be limited to 2012 pieces but also available is a quartz-powered model limited to 8888 pieces.
