Tudor Fastrider Black Shield Chronograph Ceramic

The stylish off-spring of the Tudor/Ducati dalliance continues with the new Tudor Fastrider Black Shield Chronograph.

The partnership which was formed back in 2011 has already engendered a stealthy Black Shield as well as a couple of colourful dial options, but this new piece features a black case made from ceramic, so that it will be as tough as old boots even though it feels silky smooth to the touch.

With this edition, it's not all about the watch, it's about the bike and if you have a Ducati XDiavel on your wish list then this is the timepiece you'll want to tuck beneath your leathers, as it takes its design cues directly from Ducati's latest beautiful beast.

The 42mm case wears its tactile bead-blasted finish well and the matt-black ceramic bezel offers a superb yet subtle contrast.  White lume on the indications ensures readability by night and let's face it looks damn fine by day too.  Dial layout is neat and tidy, with 30-minute totalizer at 3 o'clock, 12-hour totalizer at 6 o'clock and small seconds at 9 o'clock.  The date window has been slipped in at the 4.30 location, and has a fast-adjustment facility at the 9 o'clock - providing that is,  you have the little Tudor tool handy should  the need arise. Inside ticks the self-winding Tudor 7753 calibre offering a power reserve of 46 hours.
