Tudor Fastrider Ducati Chronograph

Just in time for the Italian MotoGP at Mugello, Tudor and Ducati announce a very timely partnership.  That such a relationship should produce stylish off-spring should be in no doubt - Tudor were the darlings of BaselWorld 2010 with their Heritage Chronograph, and Ducati bikes are legends on wheels, even so the Tudor Fastrider Ducati Chronograph is more than pleasing on the eye.

The "Ducati Red" dial contrasts with the black vertical stripe running straight down the right from 1 o'clock to 5.  Black counters with red hands provide the contrast and at 4.30 is a cheeky little date window.  It's a red dial which is not too ........red.  Perfect.  The case is 42mm steel with satin and polished finishing and over at 9 o'clock on the case side is a quick set date corrector.  Inside is the Tudor 7753 self-winding chronograph movement with 46 hours power reserve.

Mugello is Ducati rider Valentino Rossi's home GP and we at the WatchPress will be glued to our tv's to see if he can finally tame that big beefy Ducati GP11 for the first time this season.  Yes he brought with him his crew from his previous Fiat Yamaha team, including the ingenious Jerry Burgess, but so far has been able only to collect points from other rider's misfortunes.  Rossi is the rider who first got me and a whole new generation of fans watching MotoGP.  His fun-loving personality often belies his inner determination and his antics on and off the track when he wins are unmissable, he is sure to unveil a new and whacky helmet design this weekend in honour of his beloved Mugello track.

The Tudor Fastrider Chronograph for Ducati is water resistant to 150m and comes presented with two straps, black leather with folding clasp or a very tasty black and red fabric strap with buckle.  No prizes for guessing which will remain in the box then.
