Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon
What better way to celebrate a grand anniversary than with a Grande Complication? Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrate the 85th anniversary of their Reverso with a horological masterpiece, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Gryotourbillon.
You will, no doubt have read about or better still, have seen Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Gyrotourbillon before, but this one is different. An external driving mechanism ensures that this all-new example appears to elevate in mid-air. Integrated within the Manufacture Calibre 179 movement, the two carriages of this bi-axial tourbillon perform an external rotation in one minute and an internal rotation in 12.6 seconds – long enough to become completely mesmerised in its compelling architecture.
On the front is a finely-grained white round dial with blued steel Dauphine-type hands, day/night indication at 11 o’clock and seconds, indicated via a graduating disc rotating at the cadence of the Gyrotourbillon, all surrounded by some fine guilloché. Swivel the case and a new personality is revealed – an open-worked movement as fancy as can be, with hand-decorated bridges.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon will be limited to 75 pieces.
