Panerai Radiomir Titanium 47mm Limited Edition
Officine Panerai present the latest addition to their highly successful Radiomir collection - the Panerai Radiomir Titanium 47mm Limited Edition. This special edition piece features the Panerai Calibre OP XXVII hand wound movement based on a Minerva base. The watchcase constructed from titanium is 47mm wide and is the instantly recognisable cushion shape. The very origins of the Radiomir are reproduced here to striking effect, for it is, in part, a tribute to the 1936 Radiomir prototype in that the dial of this Radiomir Titanium which, as with it's unbranded predecessor, is also bereft of branding or text. However, the signature Panerai subsidiary seconds dial, located at the 9 o’clock position, and the distinctive cushion case illustrate how the brand have remained true to it's heritage to this day.
Using a design influenced by 1930’s pieces, the layout of the numerals is unconventional - Roman numerals are used for the top half from 10 o’clock to 2 o’clock and Arabic numerals are used for the lower half from 4 o’clock to 8 o’clock with the 3, 6, and 9 replaced with a dash instead of a numeral and an inverted triangle placed at the 12 o’clock. Water resistance is up to 100 metres ensured by the screwed in crown which incidentally features the only Panerai branding visible on this remarkable watch.
Available only from Panerai boutiques this Panerai Radiomir Titanium 47mm Limited Edition PAM00349 is a truly collectable watch with a world wide release of just 12 pieces.
