Saint Honore Haussman Forty 7-24

We never pass up an opportunity to bring you details of motorsport-inspired timepieces so here's Saint Honore's 2011 Le Mans celebratory watch, the Haussman Forty 7-24 and very dapper it is too!

The piece has a chunky 47mm stainless steel case with titanium PVD finishing.  The silver-tinted dial has an unusual honeycomb texture, the perfect backdrop for the recessed, snailed counters and is animated with generous orange openworked hands and counter hands.  A big zesty "15" at 3 o'clock is a reminder of the start time for the  Le Mans 24 Hour Endurance race, but really you'd want to park yourself in front of a tv screen at least an hour before that to enjoy the spectacle and the build up to this very special event, nobody does it quite like Le Mans.  Inside is an automatic Valjoux 7750 Chronograph movement with 44 hours of power reserve, viewable through the sapphire crystal case back.

Saint Honore have two brand ambassadors on the grid at Le Mans this year, Peugeot's Stéphane Sarrazin and Christophe Tinseau for Pescarolo and with a whole  bunch of new regulations for the manufactures to deal with it should be anything but boring.  For us the Le Mans 24 hour race signifies the real start of summertime, the perfect excuse to have a few mates round and see who can still walk a straight line to the fridge and back when dusk falls on the Circuit de la Sarthe, our own definition of endurance.

The Saint Honore Haussman Forty 7-24 comes presented on a super cool black leather strap with contrast stitching, with an additional black rubber strap supplied and is a limited edition of just 24 pieces.
