The Hamilton Thin-O-Matic - Cheap as Chips. Bags of Style
Hamilton issue another throw-back to the 1960's, the Hamilton Thin-O-Matic, a watch with surely the best retro name in the business. Some of the originals featured the Buren micro-rotor, Hamilton loved it so much they bought the company in 1966. The 2011 Thin-O-Matic is powered by an ever-reliable ETA 2824 but don't let that put you off. If very vintage is your preference, all the elements are there, including the original "H" logo above the brand name and a slightly domed sapphire crystal. The piece curves gently over the wrist and the numerals and markers are positioned at the very edge of the dial giving lots of empty space in the middle. Quite simply it's a perfectly styled and perfectly priced dress watch.
The Thin-O-Matic is available in 42mm or a more bone fide proportioned 38mm version with either brown leather strap or for the bold and brave a wrist hair grabbing metal stretch bracelet. Also available is a "Hamilton Gold PVD" edition.
