With a trio of counters in varying shades of blue, the Zenith Chronomaster Revival Manufacture Edition is a swansong tribute to the brand’s Revival-cased A386 collection.

The model features a historic prototype dial, which was originally made for the iconic A386.  Forming part of the treasure trove, which was secretly hoarded away by Zenith’s "ordinary hero" Charles Vermot, the dial has been reproduced and now finds a new home in the Revival caseform. Notably this will be the last model in this vintage-inspired Revival A386 series.

Exhibiting retro-styling throughout, the 38mm stainless steel case will remind you of the watch your Daddy wore.  While cases with trim, flowing lines and subtle tapering sides were once shunned for chunkier models, nowadays they are finding favour as daily wear timepieces and Zenith continue to cherry pick through their historic models to replicate them in style.  This one has perfectly proportioned pushers, polished and brushed finishes and just a hint of fuzziness where the sapphire meets the bezel when viewed side-on.  

The stellar feature of the Chronomaster Revival Manufacture Edition is, of course, its dial, which has been faithfully reproduced for today’s market.  Featuring tri-colour blue counters, a white lacquered background, and a black tachymetre scale, it has the clean styling synonymous of all Zenith’s sports timekeepers. 

Aside from its good looks, the piece is powered by one of Zenith’s precision El Primero 400 in-house calibres which has a traditional column wheel and horizontal clutch mechanism arrangement. Beating at 36.000vph one can view the architecture of the movement through the sapphire caseback. 

The Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Revival Shadow comes presented on a blue alligator strap.  The model will be exclusive to visitors of the Zenith Manufacture, or via the company’s e-commerce retail website.
